N-Acetyl Semax Amidate
Also known as: NA Semax Amidate, N-Acetyl Semax, Acetyl Semax Amidate
Acetylated and C-terminally amidated derivative of Semax, itself a synthetic analog of the ACTH(4-7) fragment (Met-Glu-His-Phe) extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail. The N-terminal acetyl and C-terminal amide groups are intended to slow enzymatic degradation and improve metabolic stability versus unmodified Semax. Proposed mechanisms include modulation of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and its receptor TrkB, plus effects on the dopaminergic and serotonergic systems. It is not FDA-approved; Semax is registered as a nootropic/neuroprotective drug only in Russia and Ukraine, and the acetyl-amidate variant is a grey-market research compound with no controlled human efficacy data.
