How Reddit vendor ratings work

Some shop pages show a number from 1 to 10 next to the Reddit mark. That number is a short read of public threads about the shop: did the order arrive, did anyone answer, and would people buy again. It is not a lab test and it is not the Merit Score.
Where you see it
Open a vendor profile. Under the shop name and the Visit button you will find the Reddit rating, a few sentences in plain language, and small tags for things like shipping or quality.
We only show it when we have actually read the threads. A missing rating means we have not covered that shop yet. It does not mean the shop is bad, and it does not mean the shop is quiet on Reddit.
What the colors mean
1 is a shop people warn others about. 10 is a shop people keep recommending. The color sits next to the number so you can see the mood of the threads without doing math.
Good
7.0 to 10
Most recent posts would tell a friend to buy here. People mention orders that show up and product that matches what they expected.
Mixed
5.0 to 6.9
You will find both praise and complaints, or there is not enough talk yet to call the shop a safe bet.
Poor
1.0 to 4.9
Recent posts lean negative. Common themes are late packages, no replies, or a quality fight that never got fixed.
How to use it when you are shopping
Use this number for the part of buying that lab reports cannot see. Lab reports tell you what was in a vial on a given day. Reddit threads tell you whether the box showed up, whether the shop answered a ticket, and whether people felt ripped off.
Read it next to the Merit Score, not instead of it. A high Reddit rating with no independent tests still leaves you guessing about the product. A high Merit Score with a low Reddit rating can mean the tests look fine while buyers are tired of waiting or getting ignored.
Pay attention to how many people are talking. A shop with dozens of mentions is a sturdier read than a shop with a handful of posts. A thin sample can swing hard after one bad week.
The short summary is the part to actually read. The number is a headline. The sentences tell you whether the gripe is weekend shipping or a missing package that never got replaced.

The tags under the score
Under the summary you will see a few pills: Quality, Shipping, Customer service, Value, or Communication. Each one is a theme we saw more than once.
- Green check. People mostly praise that part of the shop.
- Yellow minus. The threads disagree, or there is not much to go on.
- Red X. The same complaint shows up again and again.
A shop can be green on quality and red on shipping. That is useful. It tells you the fight is about the box arriving, not about what is in the vial.
How we write the rating
A person on the Merit team reads public Reddit threads about the shop and writes the summary. The number is that read. It is not an average of star ratings, and it is not a lab result.
We look at this every week so the Updated line on the shop page stays current. If we miss a week, the page says so. A shop cannot buy a better number, and affiliate codes never enter the writeup.
This is community conversation. A green 8.2 means people tend to recommend the shop. It does not mean the product is safe to use.
Questions
- Is this the same as the Merit Score?
- No. The Merit Score (0 to 100) only looks at independent lab reports. The Reddit rating (1 to 10) only looks at public conversation. A shop can test clean and still frustrate buyers, or the reverse.
- Where do I find the rating?
- On the shop profile, under the name and the Visit button. If a shop has no Reddit rating yet, we have not written one. That is not a hidden zero.
- How often does this change?
- We reread the public threads every week and update the number, the short summary, and the tags. The Updated line on the shop page is the last time we did that. If a week gets missed, the page says the refresh is late.
- What do the check, minus, and X mean?
- Each tag is one theme from the threads: shipping, customer service, quality, value, or how easy they are to reach. A green check is mostly praise. A yellow minus is split or thin. A red X is a complaint that keeps coming up.
- Can a shop pay to look better here?
- No. Checkout codes and affiliate links never touch this number. Paying Merit Verified does not add mentions, hide a red X, or move a 3.8 to a 7.
- Does a high rating mean the peptide is safe?
- No. A high number means people tend to recommend the shop. It is not a safety test, not medical advice, and not a reason to skip the lab reports on the same page.
